My History
My name is Shane Adolpho and I’ve been in the fire service for over 20 years. My career has included time as a firefighter, Haz Mat technician, rescue man and fire apparatus engineer at Wailea, Ho’olehua, Kahului, Kaunakakai and Wailuku stations. Throughout my tenure in fire, I learned and gained many skills across several disciplines, many of which I instruct today for incumbent fire fighters. This knowledge and experience is also the basis for developing and instructing those interested in joining the fire service.
My Credentials
My credentials include: Fire Instructor I, Rope Rescue cadre instructor, Confined Space technician and instructor, Swift Water technician and instructor, Rescue Systems instructor, and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) instructor. Because of my teaching experience in the department, I have been able to craft a program and curriculum to best prepare candidates for the MFD recruit class. You will learn strategies and build effective study habits for the written exam, develop techniques for the physical agility test, and prepare for the interview.
